Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) / 12 / XII / Twelveth - Results 2011
Monday, 23 May 2011: The Kendriya Vidyalaya (Central Schools) students from Hyderabad region have managed to exceed expectations in the 12th standard Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) exams, which were announced on Monday. The overall pass percentage of students in the Central Schools from various parts of the State is at 95.8 per cent, authorities said.

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) authorities termed the performance of their students as ‘outstanding', as they have bettered last year's overall pass percentage. “Last year our pass percentage was 93.5 per cent and this year it stood at 95.8 per cent. The KVS has 18 regions in the country and thanks to the outstanding performance of our students, Hyderabad region has come second in the overall standings,” said Additional Commissioner, K. V. Sangathan, (Regional Office), S. Selvaraj.

Students from as many as eight central schools, of the 16 schools, in the capital have managed to secure 100 per cent pass percentage in the class 12 results of this year. The schools with 100 per cent results include K. V. Bowenpally, Gachibowli, Ghatkesar, Dundigal 1 and 2, Golconda 2, Sivarampally at National Police Academy Central School, Ordinance Factory Central School at Yeddumailaram.

In all, 1,559 students from 35 central schools from various parts of the State appeared for the Class 12 examinations this year. Of them, 1,493 students have managed to pass Class 12. “The good results are due to hard work of students and teachers not in just classrooms but even outside. It is very difficult to achieve such results and we are proud of our students and teachers,” Mr. Selvaraj said.
