All set for SSC exams

Hyderabad: About 10,000 less students will be taking the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations to be held from March 26 to April 11. The exams will be held between 9.30 a.m. and 12 noon.
The Director of Government Examinations, B. Manmadha Reddy said that 12.87 lakh candidates will be appearing for the examinations. The reduction in candidates is in the private category and not among regular students. The exams are being held at 5,849 centres. To check any malpractices, 300 flying squads have been formed.

The computerised hall-tickets have been sent to the heads of institutions. Those students who did not receive the hall-tickets can download them, but they should be attested by the concerned headmasters. The hall-tickets can be downloaded from ‘www.bseap.org'.

Mr. Reddy said that students should visit the examination centre in advance to avert last-minute difficulties in locating them. Students should be in the hall 30 minutes before the scheduled time as they have to fill the OMR sheet carefully. Keeping in view mistakes last year, he said superintendents have been asked to draw the papers from police themselves rather than entrusting the job to lower level officials.
