Cultural extravaganza at NIT Warangal from tomorrow

Warangal: The popular cultural extravaganza ‘SpringSpree' organised annually by the National Institute Technology (NIT) would be held from March 9 to 11 here.

The cultural festival will feature Xerath, symphonic metal band from the UK performing first time in India. It will also feature Vijay Prakash of ‘Jai Ho' fame with Megha Harini.
Dean (Student Affairs) Prof. G. Radhakrishnamacharya, festival advisor Prof. D. Keshava Rao, student coordinators Abdul Qader and student council president D.Sumanth said the inaugural would be held on March 7 at 4 p.m. at auditorium. Noted comedians Ali and Siva Reddy will inaugurate event followed performance by Narasimhan Ravi Kiran (Chitraveena) with his three other associates.

50 events
“SpringSpree this year is being celebrated with the theme ‘Rubaroo India'. There will be over 50 events in the fields of art, literature, drama, music, quizzing, photography, fashion show, cartooning, film-making, ethical hacking among others,” the organisers said.

The SpringSpree will also have a video conference with NDTV reporter Barkha Dutt over India-Pakistan issue.

Bboy Crazy Geun, of the ‘Xtreme Crew' of South Korea would be coming exclusively to the festival to enthral participants. A unique singing contest called the IDOL based on the Indian Idol where the winner would be decided on voting.
