Wipro launches ‘Aarambh' in AITAM

The software major to impart training to faculty under the programme

Srikakulam: Software major Wipro Technologies is keen on improving teaching skills of engineering faculty so that well-trained youngsters will be available for the software and other companies.

As part of achieving this goal, the company launched its prestigious Mission-10X-Aarambh project in Aditya Institute of Technology and Management (AITAM) in Tekkali on Sunday.
Under the project, the company, which has been imparting training to teachers who have more than five years experience for the last few years, will provide training for those have less than three years experience.

Wipro general manager Nagarjuna Sadineni said 1,000 engineering teachers would be provided training for eight weeks under the Aarambh programme.

“Wipro's aim is to improve educational standards across the country. And it can be achieved only with well-trained teaching staff. That is why we have launched Aarambh and it will be extended to many colleges soon,” he added.

Speaking as chief guest, JNTU Vice-Chancellor G. Tulasi Ram Das thanked Wipro Technologies for providing training facility in colleges in State. “The country requires 6.44 lakh engineers in the next few years as Rs. 5 lakh crore is being invested in infrastructure projects, including power, aviation, and petrochemicals. The country will witness progress only when students are good in subject and communication skills. It can be achieved only through perfect faculty in every college,” he added.
